Make Money Online Through Websites

Make Money Online Through Online Stores

Finally, the stock market seens to be stabilising. It's been a long, scary ride for more than three weeks since the end of July. I've never seen the market plunge like this before, and for such a prolonged period. Many people dream of making money online through online trading, but this requires a cool temperament, discipline, and of course money. That's why only a handful manage to make money online this way, while most people just fall into debt.

I was glued to my computer screen almost daily, watching the market go belly-up. It was very stressful. I admit I neglected my websites, but this week I received a lovely testimonial from a customer of my butterfly jewelry website, Silver Butterfly Jewelry, which reminded me that there are other ways to make money online, and motivated me to get back to working on my online stores. This lady had purchased two pieces of jewelry from my website on separate occasions, and she wrote to say that she was delighted with the quality of my products as well as the high level of service provided. The second time she made a purchase, we had just sold the pendant she wanted. Rather than have her wait too long for new stocks to arrive, we had offered her an upgrade to more expensive jewelry. We believe in doing whatever we can to keep our customers happy.

So now I have another glowing testimonial to put on my website. Building online businesses can be a really satisfying way to make money online!

Online Trading Nightmare

Online Trading Nightmare

Making money online can be a harrowing experience. Were you caught when the stock market plunged last week? Many people were wiped out. Actually, the warning signs were there for a long time. The stock market has been red-hot; even markets worldwide have been jumping. Asia has been sizzling. Think of the Shanghai bourse in China. Well, all that came to a screeching halt last week.

Red ink ran for days, and it's not quite over yet. One thing I've learned in years of tradng online, you need to know when to cut your losses. This requires discipline. If you don't have this, as well as spare cash, don't think of making money online this way. You'll get burned.

Online Trading

Trading Online

My husband enjoys options trading. which he does himself online. He trades the US market because it's the largest and most active stock market on earth. Does he make money online trading options? Yes. Does he lose money? Of course. This is part and parcel of any kind of trading. Even in business, there's a risk of losing money.

But Andrew loves options trading, because it doesn't require a lot of capital and it gives him freedom. He's not tied down to a job or work location. He can make money online anywhere that has an internet connection. Before he started trading options, he took a course with a trading guru to learn the fundamentals. He also acquired some software programs to help him identify suitable trades. He's constantly learning, and his trades have improved. Typically, he earns a few hundred to a thousand dollars each time. Not bad for a hobby which he thinks is a lot of fun.

Is options trading a good way to make money online? For some people, who are prepared to learn the ropes and keep learning, who are prepared to take some risks, and who have spare money to lose. You need to be diligent and disciplined. If you're considering making money online through options trading, learn as much as you can before you put your money down. I had a friend who lost $100,000 in a single trade because he was anxious to make money but not prepared to put in the learning time.

To succeed in anything, you need to acquire all the knowledge you can and practise, practise and practise. With options trading, you should start with paper trading first before you put down real money. It's a good way to make money online if you have the aptitude and resources for it.

Make Money Online Responsibly

Make Money Online Responsibly

People who make money, whether online or offline, irresponsibly really get my blood boiling. I had a shock today when I discovered that the real estate agent handling the sale of a residence which I purchased almost two momths ago did not submit the legal documents to the relevant authorities as he had claimed he did. When he did finally submit the option to purchase form it was at the eleventh hour, just hours before the option would have expired. This jerk has almost caused me to lose my new home. Because of him, I will now take ownership of the property two months late. I'm particularly mad at this agent because he's been lying to me all along, assuring me that everything was in order when it wasn't.

Don't you just hate irresponsible and dishonest vendors? I sure do. I break my back trying to serve my clients well, so I think that vendors who cheat and lie should be burnt at the stake. But have you noticed how many con-artists there are everywhere, many of them in internet marketing, trying to make money online? It makes me sick. For every professional internet marketer, there must be a thousand internet marketers who are unprofessional, and even dishonest. Let's not even start with the Nigerian scams. They're actually so bad, they're funny!

Build up a good reputation for having integrity and providing good service, and your business will grow. When you short-change your customers, you short-change yourself. It's much better to under-promise and over-deliver than to over-sell and under-deliver, or even not deliver at all. Think about this when you work on ways to make money online. Think about the long-term. Don't do to others what you don't want them to do to you.

Popular Ways To Make Money Online

Guide To Making Money Online

When I started exploring how to make money online, I surfed the internet daily to learn whatever I could on the subject. I bought books and courses, and I once even spent $20,000 on an all-in-one e-commerce package which came complete with websites, video tutorials and personal coaching.

On hindsight, I realize that high-pressure selling tactics convinced me to part with waayyy too much money in my quest to learn how to earn an income on the internet. Now I know that there are other good programmes available which provide useful tips to help you make money online - and just for the price of a simple dinner for two. If I knew then what I know today I could have saved a bundle of money.

Sadly, when I was starting out just a few years ago, there was nobody I could turn to for guidance. I didn't know anybody who had any experience with internet marketing or any form of making money online. Ironically, people now ask me for advice on how to make money online, such as by starting online businesses. I've spent a lot of time guiding wannabe internet entrepreneurs for free, and it's a real drain on my time and resources. Now, rather than re-inventing the wheel, I suggest that they pick up a couple of reasonably-priced e-books which will give them a good overall view of different ways to make money online, including practical advice on how to get started.

One program which I came across recently even packs in a free website. It advocates developing multiple streams of income, which is really good advice. Some examples are:
- Developing your own products (whether tangible or intangible)
- Marketing other people's products through affiliate marketing
- Participating for cash in surveys and various consumer activities (like shopping or dining)
- Earning from advertisements clicked on your website (and you don't even have to source those ads)

The program describes itself as a simple, turnkey marketing system which helps to create recurring income, and it is backed by 20 years of marketing strategies. It is packed with handy information and resources, such as where to find products for sale, without even having to carry inventory. To quote, "you never make, stock, ship, or handle anything. You don't need to buy anything, process any orders, or even deliver them." If this sounds impossible, it isn't. I have several online stores myself which I don't have to stock inventory for, and my margins are pretty good.

This multiple streams of income system gives you sufficient information to start making money online. It even teaches you how to promote your website and get traffic to your site for free. Is there a guide to ebay success as well? Of course. There's also information on where to find the right keywords for your internet marketing - absolutely essential if you want to make serious money on the internet.

Lots of useful tips and tricks are packed into this system which has apparently helped its purchasers to make money online immediately. One guy said that he earned $300 on his first day of putting the system into action. That's a great start.

Do these methods work? Speaking from my own online experience, yes they do. However, some methods work better than others and not all methods will suit everybody. You have to decide what's best for yourself. There are many, many ways to make money online and a system like this is useful for those looking for a crash course introduction. It will certainly provide you with enough information and tools (like the free website) to start making multiple streams of revenue on the internet. A good investment for the price of just a modest dinner for two, as it'll teach you how to afford many fancy dinners to come.

Check out this guide to making money online if you'd like something comprehensive and yet bite-sized.

Getting Serious About Making Money Online

Let's Get Organized

Thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands, of people dream about making a living online. For some people, this means online trading. For others, it may mean selling products or services through websites. Of course, there are many other ways to make money online, but are they all worth your time and effort and will they suit your personality?

Whatever your preferences, making money online takes discipline and planning. If you're working from home, it's easy to get side-tracked or lose focus, so here are some guidelines to follow:

1) Create The Right Working Environment

In a conventional office, the workplace environment is designed to be conducive for work, with designated spaces, desks and chairs for each worker, ergonomically designed furniture, sufficient lighting, comfortable temperature setting, and respect for each person's working space.

The situation at home rarely fulfills the same functions, and there are often all kinds of distractions from family members, neighbours, traders and domestic services providers. A well-planned home office goes a long way in helping productivity, so make this your first priority.

2) Establish A Work Schedule

This is vital. Without it, things can get messy and your health will suffer. Schedule time for work, meals, rest, family and sleep. Deliberately create opportunities to take a stretch and other breaks, as you need to rest your eyes, mind and let your blood circulate. Leave your workspace for just work. Avoid doing things like eating meals at your desk. That's not healthy for you or your family life.

Schedules remind you when to work and when to take rejuvenating breaks, Take them seriously.

3) Set Goals and Targets

Success requires goal-setting. Long-term targets are good, but to achieve them you need to have smaller, bite-sized targets. Draw up a list at the start of each day. As you complete each task, cross it off your list. When you are satisfied with the progress you have made for the day, then reward yourself with something you enjoy doing, preferably something that has nothing to do with sitting in front of the computer.

4) Dealing With Family Distractions

When you work from home, people tend to think that you're either unemployed or have a lot of time on your hands. So, naturally, you're the person to call when there's an errand to run or something needs fixing. If you can organise your work around this, that's fine, but if things start to get out of hand and family 'duties' start encroaching into your work time and goals, you need to educate your family members.

Emphasise that you actually work from home and you need your own space and time. Interruptions will break your work flow, so you will not be able to entertain them unless they are really critical. If need be, get a "Do Not Disturb" sign to hang outside your work area when you are working. When people realise that your work is real and you are committed to it, they'll usually give you the respect you need.

5) Discipline

It's easy to slacken at home and maybe catch 40 winks and watch some TV. There's no disapproving boss around, or gossipy colleagues.

But you're the boss! You answer to yourself. If you're going to succed at making money online, it takes discipline. To do less than if you were an employee would be short-changng yourself. Investing in yourself and your own business is the best investmet you'll ever make.

So if you want to make a real living on the internet, you'll have to get serious!

Many Ways To Make Money Online

Ways To Make Money Online

At some stage, everyone who has tried to make a decent income online feels like giving up. I know I have. While many so-called 'gurus' trying to peddle their e-books and internet marketing programs would have you believe that you can easily make a ton of money almost overnight, that never happens, especially if your're new to the business of making money online.

The online world is really not much different from the 'real' world offline. You need to pick up various skills and tools in order to make a living anywhere. And that takes time, money, hard work and persistence. And did I mention money? I don't know how much money I've invested in the last three years in my quest to work from home by earning a living through the internet. There was a time when I bought nearly every e-book and program launched. Along the way, I even fell for some scams. But I've also picked up some gems which are helping me build up strong online businesses.

Building and running websites is not for everybody. But don't despair, as there are many ways to make money online. In the weeks to come, I'll share a few as well as highlight the ones which I particularly like. I'll also share some resources which I have found helpful.
